you can not think of a university as a business no matter how much you'd like to...a university is an educationl institute..it is their to prepare those students who wish to enhance their careers further for future challenges in the work environment....GET THOSE STUDENTS BACK IN CLASS and TA's SHUT THE FUCK UP AND JUST BE THANKFULL THAT YOU EVEN HAVE JOBS IN THESE FUCKED UP TIMES !!

No one claimed Toronto is the most expensive city. You're not arguing with anyone. I'd think an "aspiring artist" would look at the history of art in the 20th century, and perhaps understand the respect for labor rights. Not much of an artist I guess...

T/As have amazing benefits compared to most part time jobs (most don't even have benefits.) And if you don't want to pay tuition, then don't go to University. It's bullshit that you think other people should pay for your tuition!!!

YOU ALREADY MAKE MORE THAN ANYONE IN THE PROVINCE WHO DOES THE SAME JOB AS YOU. Now, let me explain something to you... I saw downtown the other day, and a hot dog stand had a sign that read "The best hot dogs in north america" How could they make that claim? It's ridiculous! So, how can you say, you do a better job, or work harder, or deserve more money than everyone else in the province who does the same job as you? That's ridiculous!

You got some bad information. York TAs make higher wages but they also pay tuition and have lower benefits than many other students in the region. This meme about a bunch of greedy TAs is absurd. Do you really think they're out on the lines in sub zero temperatures every day because they're all greedy?
