Our Connection to Water

This is a short slideshow which visually addresses three main points. First water belongs to a system that acts similarly to the circulatory system of humans, this system is necessary to all life. Second, water consumers especially in the developed world are removed from natural systems, technology, policy making, as well as systems of treatment and contamination. Third,these systems are controlled by institutions like the World Bank and companies like Vivendi who want to privatize water as a commodity leaving the poor and less wealthy out in the cold. Water is required for life and while pricing helps us in the U.S. to use less water that may not work in other places where culture has respected water and moral values act as water meters.
