The Foxton Locks are ten canal locks, consisting of two "staircases" each of five locks, located on the Leicester line of the Grand Union Canal at a distance of about 5 miles west of the town of Market Harbour. They are named after the nearby village of Foxton.

  • Why take a bunch of student here? To see the wonders of victorian engineering. To go back in history, See restoration in progress. It is a beautuful area. It has a fantastic atmosphere. to wonder how hard it was for the canal folks in those times. Once they would take up to 80 loaded barges though the locks in one day!!crossing over in the middle..and for the teachers !! A brilliant pub ....The Foxton Locks Inn. we spent 3 days of our honeymoon at Foxton on a traditional narroow boat

  • Why would you take a bunch of school students here?
