On Jan. 16, 2012, the North Carolina Central University men's basketball team took a trip to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on his weekend. The student-athletes were greeted with an amazing experience of MLK's memorial and everything that came with it. NCCU Head Coach LeVelle Moton, got into the spirit and took on his new role as field reporter for the NCCU Sports Network. Sophomore guard, Emanuel Chapman (Raleigh, N.C.) also contributed behind the lens as a Mass Communications major at NCCU. Special thanks to Assistant Coach Brian Kloman, NCCU men's basketball for arranging the trip, and Assistant Athletic trainer, Jimmy Lisowski, for shooting some of the footage of the team.

  • Coach Moten, This was an awesome clip!! I truly enjoyed watching it and the fellowship among the players and coach. This displays awesome leadership off the court, and it exemplifies on the court. Keep up the excellent work as coach, leader, teacher, and friend to the NCCU team!!!! I hope to see the MEAC championship in the trophy case at North Carolina Central University!! Eagle Pride Amplifide!!!.
