An animation about the greenhouse effect. Though, the information given is controversial. Tell me how you think about this. Leave a comment.

My opinion:
The greenhouse effect may become a serious threat, but it is necessary to live here. I also think the government is focussing too much on the toxic gasses trafic causes. This is only a small part compared to the toxic gasses industrialization produces. Some stories you read about global warming contradict each other. For example, it is said that Antarctica is melting because the temperature raises, while other stories say the temperatures dropped.
I think the greenhouse will cause more problems, but they should focus more on the other things arround this issue.

  • Accurate for the most part, but CO2 is not a "toxic" gas, it feeds plants. What we're worried out is the warming effect it has.

  • Good point

  • This is facts.

It is not controversial because it states ..."scientists fear" This point is not in doubt.

    Well done.

  • Perhaps questionable is a better word... And I think I meant statement in stead of information XD

In order of priority (most significant contributers) as I remember from enviro studies with UN:

    1) Fossil fuel emissions (CO2 from vehicles, power plants, homes, factories

    2) Cattle (methane @ 5 times the GHG potency of co2)

  • I think it has become a serious an pressing issue. While I do believe it is part of a natural cycle on our planet I also believe we've been a catalyst, accelerating the next cycle phase notably. So the next dry spell and ice age are probably going to occur sooner than they inevitably would have anyways, but nothing as dramatic as within the next few decades. As for the cause: Burning fossil fuels at an alarming rate combined with deforestation all over the globe.

  • Thank you very much for the documentation
