Wise Man suggest that he challenges Diamond to a formal duel for Serenity's hand. An arrangement that Serena really does not approve of. This duel is just to give Wise Man time to break into Darien's mind and convince him to turn on the King, buying the scouts time to arrive. He doesn't dare interfere in a battle of this magnitude.
