Hey this is a boot up race between my 2 laptops ''hp pavillion dv4000 and pavillion dv6''
Specs: pavillion dv4000
1gb of memory, 80gb of harddisk, intel pentium m, 64mb shared graphics, 1.73ghz and windows xp home.
Specs: pavillion dv6
4gb of memory, 320gb of hardisk, 512mb discrete graphics, intel core2duo, 2ghz and vista home premium

i hqce the dv4000 and its slow. i wiped it and its so much faster. 1gb ram no upgrades.2005. runs minecraft tiny at 50+ fps.

By the way. Did you upgrade anything on your hp dv4000? I have the 4275nr, but it's been so slow in general that it's not very useful anymore. Is yours working well/fast? Or did you upgrade a RAM or harddrive or something? My battery is really bad too. Also, I can't use this laptop for taking notes in class because the battery dies fast. Right now I'm considering adding RAM. The one it has now is like 500MB. So upgrade to 2MB (the max it can take).
