  • Guys just type in 'buckethead shred' for the whole video..

  • that was......short. but AWESOME!

  • @Killzor420 Actually the "sad" truth is that, Paul only gave Buck 2 or 3 lessons.

The al-freaking-mighty PEBBER BROWN did the rest, check him out.

  • I wasnt saying that, I was saying that the whole upstoke thing was mainly gilberts idea. bucket was 13 when he listened to gilbert (17) just because it wasnt released doesnt mean that it wasnt made before bucket. all im sayin is that gilbert helped bucket get his echo skills a little bit farther all im saying. upstroking sounds alot cleaner than downstroking echo songs youd know if u were a guitarist (which u r)

  • Not true at all... Gilbert released a song with delay a lot of years later than Buckethead.

  • he learned how to upstroke like that from paul gilbert, because when paul first started playing guitar he explained in a training video. that he thought you could only strum up for the 2 years he started playing. so he became really really good at it. so when paul taught bucket some tricks he caught on pretty fast. and learned how to use it with nice effects. And establish some creative songs

  • there is only slight delay and reverb. close to a 1/16 or so delay i think. and all up picking. its very difficult to play.

  • He is upstroking eighth notes with a delay on.

  • 90% of this sound is effects - he isnt really doing much at all.

  • Its not ungodly hard but it is alot easier to do just up or down strokes when your first starting out on guitar. You get into the habit of economy/alternate,ect picking and its more difficult to change your primary style even for a short period of time.
