Saab Draken - The Last Flight

The last flight of a Saab J-35 OE Draken in service with the Austrian Air Force. The Austrian Air Force operated the Saab Draken from 1989 to 2005, which were also the last ones in active military service worldwide. They are now replaced by the Eurofighter Typhoon.

It's pretty amazing that a plane designed in the sixties survived as long as 2005. Truely one of (if not) the greatest ever and gravely under estimated.

im swedish and i have a military book, if the army founds out that one of my friends gave me it, he would be in so much trouble but in it theres info that the Saab Draken (Dragon) has a top velocity of 2000 kilomiters per hour

Mr. Duffdark: Du hast mich falsch verstanden. Die Nutzungsdauer durch die österr. Luftwaffe war ohnehin sensationell. Natürlich war er veraltet und musste ersetzt werden. Aber nicht durch den teuersten Mist der Welt. Die Grippen wären für Österreich wesentlich nützlicher gewesen und die jahrzehtelange Zusammenarbeit mit Schweden ist gekappt worde, damit ein paar Arschlöcher Kohle machen.
