tapping thing

i came across this cool tapping thing the other night while fiddling. this isnt anything groundbreaking and now that i watch the video, it looks like something i've seen michael romeo from symphony x do (sea of lies?). but its fun "coming up with new things" even if someones already mastered it.

--played regular speed, then slow to show what im doing. then at the end i spliced on another clip of the same pattern but on higher strings

I'm still trying to improve my tapping. I'm not that great at it yet. Any tips?

when you tap, come straight down onto the fretboard and when you pull off the tapping finger, pull off slightly to the side. this will give the note a little boost. basically by pulling off to the side during the tap, your helping the string to keep vibrating. this should be done even with regular pull-offs. good luck
