Suicide bombers lurk the streets of Musa Qala in northern Helmand, keeping British troops on high alert. Troops from the Royal Irish Regiment patrol the streets of Musa Qala, in northern Helmand, scene of some of the worst fighting between the Taliban and western forces, when 16 Air Assault Brigade deployed there in 2006

  • Nobody is better equipped to deal with this war than the British in fact i believe if the coalition all adopted British tactics then less soldiers would be killed our soldiers particularly the royal Irish regiments know how to distinguish religions and their diplomacy would come in handy the yanks could learn a thing or 2.

  • @SS13E3 in other words your lost for words so you change the subject to something nobody's interested in but now you got my attention i might as well stick my ten cents in.......klajlkjdlfkjsoifoiwfohkdhfjhsfnerve cells

  • @kargwain187 The Royal Irish Regiment is the last remaining Irish infantry regiment of the line. The 1st Battalion is based in Tern Hill, Shropshire and forms part of 16 Air Assault Brigade. The 2nd Battalion is a Territorial Army battalion and its headquarters is in Portadown, Northern Ireland with company locations across the province. 1 Royal Irish Battlegroup returned in October 2008 from their second tour in Helmand Province, Afghanistan again deployed to Helmand Province in 2010.

yea the british lost 1/4 of that figure only fighting in one sector of the country. While we handled Korengal.

Youve also lost the command over what was your playground in Helmand because of your own incompetence and failure to hold ground in the 4 yrs you had it.

  • @SS13E3 Killed: 2,525 (US: 1,599, UK: 377)
