Well if you've been watching MMA for years then you'd know that Silva has a BJJ blackbelt and Lindland doesn't. Silva may not have the greatest takedown defense but his submission defense is excellent.
What did Hendo do when he got Silva to the ground and mounted him? He didn't do much damage did he?
Although Lindland is a slightly better wrestler than Hendo, he doesn't have nearly punching power that Dan has.
