*DEMI'S POV*
My vampire instincts kicked in. Nick Black appraoched me. My bestfriend. I couldn't even see him without fighting myself to attack him. He said my name with his husky low voice. He grew. A lot. I could tell that he was uncomfortable also. His nose was wrinkled. Probably trying to resist my disgusting stench. Well, to him, at least. The corners of my mouth twitched into a small smile.
Demi:hey, Nick.
Nick:*smiles* nice to see you've come back. *hugs her*
Demi:*purses her lips and quickly pulls away* same here.
Nick:*thinks:sorry, too much?*
Demi:*heard his thoughts* just a little.
DD:huh?
Demi:uh, nothing.
DD:okay. enjoy yourself, honey. *smiles and leaves*
David:*taps Demi's shoulder*
Demi:*turns*
David:we have to go home and unpack also. i suppose you can take care of yourself.
Demi:yeah, okay.
Selena:bye, sis. *Delena leaves*
*NICK'S POV*
The other bloodsuckers left. I chuckled to myself silently. They finally realized they didn't fit in here. Ha, they didn't ask for a ride. The beasts probably ran.
Demi:*elbows him* im one of those bloodsuckers your referring to, yah know.
Nick:*laughs* right. sorry.
Demi:*rolls eyes* havent changed much, have you? this should be fun.
Nick:oh cmon, Dems. live a little.
Demi:yeah, sure.
Nick:youve changed a lot though.
Demi:was that an insult?
Nick:*sighs* no, no. not at all. its just-
Demi:just what? im a killer, right?

Demi:yeah, whatever. i know, im one of them. damnitt, Nick. i just got back and your already bagging on me like this? *walks out*
Nick:*follows and stops her* Demi, im sorry if i hurt your feelings. i just havent adjusted to.. to.. to.. your new life. okay?

Nick:*sits next to her* im sorry.
Demi:*closes her eyes* your not the only who regrets this life of mine, Nick.

Demi:*opens her eyes as she exhales heavily* thats right.

Demi:*looks at him with swelling eyes* a lot has happened during by absence in Forks.
Nick:Dems, dont do this to me. i dont do tears.
Demi:*ignores* Nick, hes gone. i put his life on the line, and now hes GONE.
Nick:i thought he was in Europe. and arent blo- i mean vampires, forever? isnt that why you asked to be transformed? so you can be with him forever?
Demi:*shakes head* your situation is similar to mine. your different too. i thought you wouldve got used to lieing for the people around you.
Nick:Dems, i dont get it.
Demi:Nick, hes dead! do you get it now?!
Nick:*bewildered; he slowly pulls her in his chest* i-im sorry.
Demi:he was my only reason for this life. now hes gone.
Nick:*strokes her hair* calm it, Demi.
*NICK'S POV*
I felt so helpless. She needed someone to make her feel better. I knew that person was Joe. Even though it hurted to admit it, it was true. My love from before and now is in pain and I can't do anything about it. I shivered a bit under her. Her skin was ice cold. Maybe even colder.
Demi:*sits up* sorry.
Nick:its fine.
Demi:*Shakes head and stands*
Nick:*stands* Demi, im serious. you can always come to me.
Demi:*nods* sure. *wipes tears*
Nick:do you plan on telling me about this?
Demi:maybe some other time.
Nick:alright, ill count on that.
Demi:do me a favor?
Nick:sure.
Demi:tell dad i had to go. oh and feel free to visit the house, kaye?
Nick:your not staying here?
Demi:nope. i live with the Cullens now.
Nick:does that explain the car to match too? *chuckles*
Demi:er, it was a gift.
Nick:*catches her drift* uhm, okay. see you?
