What can human society learn from bonobo behavior? Brian Hare studies primates' and non-primates' social skills and asks whether areas of their evolution have surpassed our own.
@Dolfinfin : I don't think the notion is that humans need to become bonobos, just that we can learn a lot from how their evolved social culture (not material culture) is fundamentally based on the principles of non-monopolisation and cooperation - hence, they do not suffer the same social pathologies as humans and chimps that have their social culture fundamentally based on resource-monopolisation and competition. PS: Human children needlessly die every day due to our social culture.
