Timelapse from the south side of my property in Pollock Pines during a very heavy snow fall leading up to President's day weekend.

This is recorded by a Mobotix Q24N @ 1mpixel resolution. Periodic recording was setup on 1 minute intervals along with motion detection for full frame rate recording. All video is stored on a Synology RS810+ NAS and a simple perl script was used to compiled a video from about 5 days worth of the periodic recording stills into a flash video @ 30fps, which was then uploaded here (duh).

1 frame = 10 minutes, 30fps = 5 hours per second of play time.

Quite a few trees lost their battle with gravity during this timeframe!

  • Excellent video. This is not a Q24N though as the N is a black & white only camera.
