The X Power Grey ZS 180 is being driven by "probably" the most famous ZS owner in the country and it may be hard to believe but 3 years ago when i first came across Dave Breen at combe he was my wipping boy ;) but this is the end result of 3 years hard work on the car that any engineer at MG -Rover would be proud of! shame they didn't come out the factory in this spec.

  • Both the cars have piper cams,manifolds,sports cats and stipped(no supercharger) but the grey one also has a Quaife LSD and a big brake kit.The owner timed his car doing 1.21s/22s which is quite fast for a road car at combe.

    Brad-Do you still own the supercharged ZS?

  • 7-9 secs is abit optimistic mate, but i do agree with him, you definately need to get on the pedal a little earlier, you should invest in a quaiffe also, i havent used or even seen one but i've heard they are the dogs.

    its a good vid btw, would love a stripped out zs180, how good does it feel in the twisties??

  • regular weight is 1235 kilos ,mines actually slightly less than 1000 kilos now.

    I have removed everything ,its just a shell with an engine.

  • lmao,7 to 9 seconds a lap !!!what planet are you on,do you realise how much 7-9 seconds actually is !?

    Trust me im pretty close to the limit and not even lewis hamilton could get anywhere near 7 to 9 seconds reduced lap time out of this car!.

    I was doing 1.22 laps if that was able to be reduced 9 seconds that would put me at 1.13 laps ,the lap record for british gt cars is only 1.06,do you really think i could get within 7 seconds of a gt car in a road going mg zs!!!.

  • NIce video... if you want to improve your lap times get on the throttle earlier - your a bit late through the bends. Also the ZS180 has some pretty monster brakes as standard without any special pads so you can brake later than you are doing - practice these and you'll lose 7-9 seconds a lap.

    The ZS features an uprated drivetrain and gearbox to handle the V6 - hence the noise... but its a nice noise.

  • no its not the drivetrain ,its my tyres ,the car is perfectly quiet when on standard tyres.

    Both cars are also on toyo r888's and x power springs ,but more importantly than any modification,both cars have Good drivers ,especially the Grey one !!!

    Mine is now fast closing in on a kerb weight of 1000 kilos.
