Hi, thanks for producing these videos, as a beginner they are brilliant to learn the basics.

On the forward roll...What finger and string did you start on and are you alternating the thumb on the D and G string? It was hard for me to follow because the video was a little out of sinc. Thanks for the tips.

I've been a guitarist for the last 33 years...and in that time I've gotten to where I can shred the frets off the fretboard....I've always loved bluegrass and I think now I'm ready to get a nice 5-stringer and see what i can do with it. Big change for me...shredding on the guitar is done with the left hand, now I have to get the right hand in gear.

what would be a good starter banjo for a beginner? oh yea, the price!
-
what is the 4 rolls, notes or the strings dbgdg is it in order or different?

with all do respect try not to talk while picking the banjo,
it drowns out you verbal tips ,
good work keep it up and can disribe the rolls as you play
sorry if i sound dumb, but do you have to use finger picks for banjo, or can you use your nails instead.

@Superthatdudeguy Yes, you can use your fingers, I did when I first started. However, the picks help you get that "bluegrass" sound that most are looking for.
