Part 1 of the 2008 riding season.

Production notes: After many years of faithful service, our Canon A70 digital camera quit. Canon fixed it for free (THANK YOU CANON!!!), but in the meantime, we had replaced it with a Canon SX100is so we wouldn't miss a shot. You can tell when the camera switch takes place, as the pictures go to widescreen. Yay SX100!!!
Later on in the summer, I purchased a video recording rig for on-bike video recording. This setup uses 4 bullet, or lipstick sized cameras feeding into a camcorder (Sony Handycam TRV-330 Hi8) in the trunk. There is an inline switch so I can pick which camera we record from on the move. There is also a LANC control that I added so that I can turn on the camcorder, start recording, stop recording, and then turn off the camcorder, all with one, single button switch by my index finger. The LANC has a 2 color LED which indicates power/recording/lowtape conditions. Sweet! I added a microphone a short time later for sound recording also. The camcorder also allows us to record the devotions our chaplain gives on our rides. You'll see video footage in parts 3 and 4.
