  • Sure. Just drop in the XP CD and when asked, destroy all partitions.

  • Just so everyone knows... Fedora Core 7 is the newest one... but good tutorial, anyway.

  • Yep, I did this eight months ago. I will probably run through an install and see if I need to make another video. There aren't usually any significant changes.

  • That works, as long as there is enough market appeal to make it worthwhile for someone to make the content. Within the IT field things change so fast that reference material has a short shelf life. So for a while at least, there will just be a few of us out here doing it for those people who might like it. :)

  • Didn't I say that? You are supposed to have a SECOND machine. :) After all, how are you going to watch the rest of the videos without a working machine?

  • @BrutalTurtle being a geek i personally like it, because it's not too bloated but not as barebone as the Arch or Gentoo Linux distros.

  • uhh I'm able to delete MS partitions easy using the Gparted tool... its available as a LiveCD or bundled with the Ubuntu LiveCD. it's good for people who don't have a windows install disk bundled with there computers like most of today's computers don't.

  • MR. BLUTARSKY... ZERO POINT ZERO.

  • u need to partition ur data. u can use an external hard drive, or u can partition ur hard drive and put ur files on it and put fedora on the other, then u can move the data partition back to the fedora partition and then get rid of unallocated data and combine it with ur fedora partition, but i reccomend not doing that unless u are exetremely good with computers

  • The start up screen is different than the one I'm looking at. Is he downloading Fedora 9?

  • i cant understand , how do i partition on windows xp?

  • I been using Fedora 9 for a minute now. Nice video, Linux is much better then Windows.

  • good idea

  • Is there any way to uninstall windows and install fedora without loosing your previous files and data that is stored on the hard drive?

  • and what's the point?

use Windows it's 1000 time's better then any other OS
