Alcohol and Pills was written by Fred Eaglesmith and performed at the Gram Parsons Guitar Pull in 2008
by the north Florida band Quartermoon. The exquisite alternative artwork is courtesy of Ian Dunlop an
artist-musician who was a band member with Gram Parsons in The International Submarine Band, a 60s era country-rock band.
Quartermoon is North Floridas Americana treasure. Experienced musicians John and Raven Smith, often joined by great pickin friends, perform an eclectic mix of music, from Gram Parsons, to Bill Monroe, to Merle Haggard, and many original songs. Quartermoon will win you over with John and Ravens husband-and-wife duets and sweet-sounding harmonies, foot-stomping bluegrass and heartfelt folk songs. Ned Stewart adds some tasty guitar riffs to underscore the harmonies.
nice job. (hats off to stage crews everywhere BUT could those dudes be MORE irritating?)

nicely done.... yours, I mean.... i just thought you might like to hear what we've done with the tune.....which accounts for the "video response" apparently coming otherwise or elsewhere or something...???? ..... not quite sure a "video response" is what I had in mind. ;) Anyway, I like the sound of your rendition. SUCH a great song. D2
