I agree entirely. But with all the inspiration that Japan has given my generation in particular, I think that adults in this country will come to adopt animation as an acceptable outlet for entertainment media and produce serious shows instead of just kid stuff. At least, that's what I hope.

Ah, OK, I see your point now. See, when I read your first comment, it sounded like you were saying Japan had the best animation period and wondered why Americans were interested in it, which struck me as ethnocentric. Now I see that you think the opposite and are wondering why we only do kid's movies with our animation. My apologies.

I wonder the same thing myself. In my opinion, animation doesn't have to just be for children or for comedy. But most people in this country think otherwise.
