@djvictorsalazar Both, parts 1 and 2 videos were very informative. After watching this video I've come to the conclusion that I do not need to recone my speakers, I need to refoam my speakers. But, I feel confident that I can recone a speaker should the need arise.

Thats very nice wher can i get recones for my subs because i hate Foam sorrounds, i want to change them to Rubber ??

i'm not an audio phile im not spending $140 to take a CHANCE to repair my speaker to only have it fail. id rather keep the second hand 12 inch generic for only $15 i don't like it loud. but i do like hearing bass when i'm suppose to hear bass
i guss for the more expensive speakers and if it was nearly fail proof this would be ideal.

make sure it's clean because well you know, this is where the stuff goes, you know.........

you've just inspired me to ungut my 10' RE sub xD

My local dealer is reconing them for 150$, I don't have anything to do, and they are perfectionists!

Good job Caz, yeah definately want to keep the voice coil gap nice and clean, if you leave behind a small piece of metal the friction of the voice coil movement will send you back ordering another reconing kit. lol Can't wait to see vid 2. Oh and did you ever find the cause for it? You were constantly clipping your amps? Did you check the internal crossover? Did you check the output of your amp? Keep us posted on what could've caused that.

Happy New Year Bro.
No over driving here, I'm going to say "wear"......it was time for it to go, i've had this speaker for a long while.
Hopefully it'll last me another long while.
