This video shows more examples of virga. The virga occurs when the rain that falls from the cumulus clouds through air that is so dry that the rain evaporates before it hits the ground. On this day, the clouds were initially moving to the North and then begin to move to the West. Clouds moving in either of these directions is somewhat unusual for this area.

The camera is pointing to the South in the direction of Antler Hill and Innisfail, Alberta.

The film was made on April 17, 2007 at 100x real time.

The background music is Symphony No. 2 in D Op.36 II. Larghetto by Beethoven.
