Buster Keaton in "The cameraman".
The great Buster Keaton. The greatest physical comedian in cinema history.
The Cameraman is a 1928 American silent comedy directed by Edward Sedgwick and an uncredited Buster Keaton. The picture stars Buster Keaton, Marceline Day, Harold Goodwin, and others.

The Cameraman was Keaton's first film with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It is considered by fans and critics to be Keaton still in top form, and it was added to the National Film Registry in 2005 as being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

Within a little over a year, however, M-G-M would remove creative control over his pictures from Keaton, thereby causing drastic and long-lasting harm to his career. Keaton was later to call the move to MGM "the worst mistake of my career."

  • This scene is adorable. : ) Although... I have to admit that I don't know what is more distracting...Those awesome abs or his perfect ass! lol. ; P

  • @MissGoldenDreams13 I assume she asked what color Buster's eyes were? Holy cow I can't believe I never thought about what color his eyes were before...you are indeed a font of wisdom and knowledge.

  • @nateandsophie: Hazel :) And they were more of a golden-brown hazel, not a greenish-brown hazel.

  • @21JumpStreetKid He sort of wants to smile when he first puts his hands over his face, but sniffles instead. He cracks around 2:38 once his head hits the wall.

  • Nobody was better at doing silent films than Buster Keaton. and that is a scientific fact

  • This is hilarious. I remember when I first seen this movie, and how much i laughed at this scene. especially when he goes to take off his shoe and he's on top of the dudes back. haha great comedy. thanks to whoever put it up:)

  • @laidee21 Buster puts his hand over his mouth twice in this scene. Which one does he crack a smile at?

  • I also love the messed up hair! Can he get any more adorable?!

  • 3:13 never gets old, nor does this video. Oh Buster, I apologize but you were terribly sexy.
