It was for a university assignment. This is my first ever ever ever model in 3DSM. I've not done modelling before but i've used Hammer (HL2/TF2 mapping) extensively, so i'm used to the 3 wireframe + 1 3D layout thing. It helped a bit.
I did this whole animation in one night, non stop. It was the first time i really used 3ds max apart from seeing it be used on a projector in class. I never actually used it. So, for a complete 3DSM beginner, i think it's not too bad!
I know the rendering quality is awful but i don't really understand renderers yet. If i do more 3D stuff, i'll be sure to look into the renderers more deeply, as i know what a great looking image or animation good rendering can make.

Check at Crucial.com and check your make and model if it says it's compatible and you've got an extra RAM slot it should work fine. Before putting inserting it unplug and take out the battery after doing this hold down the power button I discharge all power. Then simple clip it in ( making sure you match the notches) and start it back up. You don't have to download or install anything.
