This is an average example of dolsot bi bim bap. Bap is rice in Korean and bi bim means to stir or mix.

The dolsot is a heavy iron bown that sizzling hot and all the ingredients are put in right before it's served.

It's rice topped with assorted fresh and pickled vegetables and a small amount of meat. It's all topped with a raw or half-cooked egg that finishes in the bowl as you stir.

You top it at the table with guchojang, the red pepper paste that's very common here.

The Dolsot gives a very yummy and different taste over regular bibimbap, which when delivered to your home, cannot be in a hot iron bowl!

Be careful!

  • I love the crispy rice at the bottom. I eat this usually twice a week at a little Korean restaurant near me. I've lost 15 pounds so far, 20 lbs more to go, by eating Korean style food. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Postie218 It's definitely a delicious way to diet!

  • What is the red sauce called that you put on top?

  • It's in the description next to the video ;)
