Hi Simon,
Thanks for another great video. I was wondering if you would please make a video about throwing lamp stands? I throw some too, but I am interested in how you make yours. Thanks and cheers :)

The "Table of Indecision" LOL Nice thank you for sharing your lifes work with us Simon. I really appreciate it.

Many thanks for your always so interesting demonstrations! The main difficulty for me - an old beginner!- is to have the right density of glaze corresponding to the porosity of the pieces...
It is a real challenge to put glaze on big pieces with a so small pail! Bravo, Simon, you are a Maestro THE potter Maestro !

Wax resist over the shino before the soda ash crystallizes can give interesting results. I've found shino glazes to be unpredictable - but that is part of their charm. Can't wait to see the results.
I'm without my kiln again so I'm starting to feel the frustration of that. It is fun watching and anticipating your work.

simon, why don't you use wax on your bottom? john

@potteryworks . Because it is quicker at the end of the day to just sponge off rather than have another operation of waxing to do beforehand. A lot of this could depend on how adept one is at glazing - for some who might make a right mess of glazing maybe some wax might be a good idea !! SL
