I'm an American who until recently hadn't heard of Slim Dusty. Oh, what I have missed! I can listen to his songs for hours. I believe that he is truly the greatest, true country singer of all time. And I've been listening to classical country music here in America for over 50 years. For me, Slim Dusty is more real than any of them. Because of his heartfelt songs about his beloved country, I have come to love Australia. I thank each of you who've posted his sound on YouTube.

The picutre Slim is standing next to at 1.00 is a tooled leather portait I did of him in 1993.
He loved it... I did another leather picture for him... it was used on the cover of his 87th album "THE ANNIVERSARY ALBUM NO. 2"
He was a very talented, humble and gracious man.... very sadly missed
