The 148th anniversary Battle of Gettysburg reenactment in Gettysburg, PA. All musical credit to Immediate Music.

This is my footage taken on July 3, 2011 of the recreation of the cavalry action in Fairfield at the 148th anniversary Gettysburg reenactment. I cut the audio due to a chatty crowd and a narrator on loud speakers, but I hope the music will suffice.

Those historians among you will note that the Confederates won the actual Battle of Fairfield while the video suggests they lost. This is on no part of the reenactors, but merely a result of my video editing. If it comforts you, consider this a general cavalry engagement rather than the specific clash at Fairfield.

  • 1st Maine - the Dragoons were very happy you joined us! And thank you to the film editor for making this look so good. Toujours Pret!

  • @KOartist4reaL there were no black troops in blue at gettysburg but there were at at least 5,000 or so in confederate gray who were not only teamsters or blacksmiths but were also combatants. I might add that they were not forced to fight but fought out of a sense of duty for their country and they fought with honor and many were killed in pickets charge.

  • @KOartist4reaL There's a pile of reasons it isn't "accurate" but your isn't one of them.
