Fifteen years ago, Latif had one of the most unusual and unenviable jobs in the world - he was the body-double of Saddam Hussein's elder son. Uday Hussein is believed by many to have been insane - he was certainly highly unstable, and prone to fits of uncontrollable and murderous rage. For close to five years, Latif was part of the top-secret "Project 7" - where he witnessed innumerable scenes of rape, torture and other appalling acts of violence. Latif survived several assassination attempts - and was even shot on one occasion by Uday. He escaped from Iraq in 1991 - and, ten years ago, arrived in Ireland. He has since married an Irish woman - and now lives here with her and their children. Uday Hussein - along with his brother - was killed by American forces in Iraq in 2003.

they are talking about the interviewer being ignorant (not the person being interviewed) and asking latif if 'fidayi' is the "islamic" word for body double. Islam is not a language, it is a religion. Fidayi is an Arabic word.

The arrogance Latif has and his political activism have made him some enemies in the West. The only thing that he made up on a whim as he began to divulge, was the Saudi Princess. Any arab would know that he wasn't fast enough with his wit and lied about her being beheaded. Why have her beheaded now? This interview is transparent. Gerry seems like his mission was to discredit him but he believes him, at some points, without any doubt.

@karmawi01 @Signalement the guy is Iraqi you know? He isn't English or American so his first language isnt English.. he made a tiny mistake.. out of the 24 minute interview all you noticed was his mistake and you didn't notice the rest?

Amazing movie and video....

Latif sure did go through a lot. It is a great eye opener for everyone. This video shows us what the nation of Iraq was going through. It's a pity I just saw this now.
