Thomas Greaves (fl. 1604) was an English composer and lutenist.
Come Away, Sweet Love
(repeated for more mileage)
The Cambridge Singers
He was lutenist to Sir Henry Pierrepont. He published in London in 1604 Songes of sundrie kinds. It contained four madrigals; three of them, 'Come away, sweet love,' 'Lady, the melting crystal of thine eyes,' and 'Sweet nymphs,' were republished in the nineteenth century (1843 and 1857), with pianoforte accompaniment by G. W. Budd.
@bartje11 sorry, didn't mean to offend, and I indeed appreciate the score. I'm just saying that in this form it simply does not sound like a madrigal, but a choral piece.

@JAYJAY1000000 What? no thanks for uploading the score? So typical.

@LevMysh68 I quite agree, it sounds muffled, just six voices would have been perfect, as it was meant to be.

Love this madrigal! And I love the Cambridge Singers just as much. But seriously, how many people can you have singing at once and still call it a madrigal...?
