Texas Rain Part 1

The teens are getting ready for the gig. The girls are fixing their hair.
Mr. Wolff- Ready?
Nat- No, some people are taking too long.
(Nat turns to the bathroom. The girls pop out their heads of the door with combs and hot curlers in their hair)
Jesse- You can’t rush perfection.
Nat- You can if you moved faster.
Allie- But Nat, the hair style that we want isn’t coming out yet.
Thomas- Maybe you need wigs.
(The girls throw the shampoos at Thomas)
Thomas- Ow!
(David picks up a shampoo bottle)
David- Hey, this product is very expensive.
(Nat goes and picks all the bottles off the floor and walks back to the bathroom)
Nat- Can you girls please try to keep the bathroom clean?
Kristina- Well, we have no place to put the curling irons.
(Nat puts the stuff on his bed and Qaasim walks in wearing leather pants)
Qaasim- What do you guys think?
Alex- Nice, but they look… small.
Qaasim- They are, the lady said that the smaller they are; the tighter they fit. And the tighter they fit, the more girls you get.
Cooper- Are you going to be able to play in those pants?
Qaasim- Of course, just don’t make me bend down to pick up anything.
(The guys laugh and Nat once again walks up to the bathroom, knocking on the door)
Nat- C’mon, we’re going to be late.
(Andrea pops her head out of the door with a towel wrapped around her head)
Andrea- How come you’re so nervous today?
Nat- Nothing, I just don’t want to be late.
(Jesse comes out with the curling iron in her hair)
Jesse- Nat, we’re super early, relax a little.
(Jesse goes back inside)
Andrea- Yeah, relax cutie.
(Andrea gives him a kiss on the cheek. Nat sits back down in one of the bean bag chairs smiling. After a couple of hours, the girls finally come out with their hair looking lovely. With curls, bump its', and buns )
Vanessa- Now, we’re ready.
Steph- Qaasim, are those leather pants?
Qaasim- Yup, do you like them?
(Qaasim gets closer to Steph)
Megan- They look like they shrunk in the wash.
(Everyone laughs. The bus stops and Mr. Wolff is looking for the signs)
Mr. Wolff- Cooper, where’s this place again?
Cooper- Um…
(Cooper takes out his cell phone *his i-phone* and turns back to Mr. Wolff)
Cooper- It should be right here.
(Cooper points to the window. Nat comes up to them)
Nat- What’s the name of the place?
Cooper- The Silver Plant.
Nat- Maybe they changed the name.
Cooper- No, the name’s correct.
(Alex walks up to them)
Alex- Well why don’t we-
(Alex looks out the window)
Nat- Why don’t we what Alex?
(Alex points outside to a dark horizon)
Cooper- Is that rain coming our way?
Nat- I think it is, dad let’s get going please.
(Mr. Wolff puts the bus in drive, but is stopped by a twister surrounding the bus. The bus starts to jump and spin a little)
Kassadi- What’s happening?
Sammy- A twister is heading our way.
Dan- This can't be happening!
(The bus jerks up a little bit)
Thomas- This is crazy!
David- Are we in a movie or a trick T.V. show?
Cooper- Nope, neither.
(Finally the bus stops moving, Mr. Wolff gets back into the driver’s seat and tries to get the bus to start)
Mr. Wolff- Cooper, the bus isn’t starting.
Cooper- What?!
(The band heads outside to see the motor)
Qaasim- Great, the motor is fried.
(The front of the bus starts to give off smoke)
Alex- Qaasim, I think you made it angry.
Allie- What else could go wrong?
(Everyone looks at one another. Suddenly it starts to pour, the girls start to scream)
Jesse- Why now?! Why us?!
Kristina- Our hair!!!
(The band heads toward the doors of the bus)
Mr. Wolff- It’s locked.
Cooper- How come this happened?
(They all turn to Nat, dripping wet)
Vanessa- It’s Nat fault!
(The girls surround him)
Andrea- You just had to rush us to be early!
Nat- I only rushed you girls because we had to go.
Steph- Nat, you’re nervous. Spill!
(The girls get closer to Nat, blocking him in)
Nat- Look, we have more people in the band and I thought we were going to be late.
(Everyone turns back to the bus; the girls flip back their wet hair, wetting Nat)
Alex- Cooper, what do we do?
Cooper- I don’t know.
(They hear thunder and lightning strikes the sky. Alex holds onto Jesse screaming. Everyone is screaming)
Kristina- Now I’m scared.
Qaasim- Hey, look a penny!
(Qaasim bends down and the band hears a loud rip of Qaasim’s leather pants)
Qaasim- Uh-oh! Help!
(Thomas and David cover Qaasim from behind)
Alex- Where are we?
Nat- Lost....
