I don't know where this music was supposed to be in the film. But this is one of Waxman's music scores that you can hear in his "Moderato Appassionata" for The Paradine Case. I looked at the film trying to find out the scene where Waxman may have wanted to add this music. And after looking at several scenes, this scene in this video is the only one I can find in the film that plays along this music. What do you think about the video, everyone?

  • I think the 131 minutes version was very different from the 114 minutes version. In 131 minutes version, all of them were Hitchcock's shots. In 114 minutes version, Selznick trimmed about 17 minutes and replaced some of Hitchcock's scenes with his retakes.

  • Could it be that this cue is from the missing footage? At least twenty minutes were deleted from the movie when it was subsequently rereleased, and the choppy continuity of the existing version proves it.
