My suggestions for drawing character figures are the following:

1. Make every line meaningful.
2. Visualize the figure in a head-to-toe concept on the page as you draw.
3. Focus on proportion, balance, unity, and action first. Then emphasize the facial expressions.
4. Check your sketch for proportion and balance, and make sure your character's movement looks comfortable by looking at it from the reverse side of the paper, through a mirror, or holding the paper upside down. These checking methods will help you see awkward lines and shapes that aren't as noticeable from the front of the paper. Try this, and it will surprise you.

  • @Mitrh Yes, I do. Search for FashionARTventures

  • is there any art classes you would recommend while i am still in high school .?

  • @TheBria98 If you're going to a fashion school afterwards, it's advisable to visit such. It might be helpful to visit one of those preparatory classes or courses some colleges do offer (in Europe they do), so you can learn required techniques to get in. I attended similar classes at an institute of education to prepare my portfolio. In Germany most of universities offer portfolio counselling, where students of higher semesters or persons of the teaching staff give you advices.
