Is Mecha Sonic and Metal Sonic supposed to be the same thing? But Sonic CD calls him Metal while Sonic 3 calls him Mecha?

Who else here finds Mecha Sonic more threatening than Metal Sonic. I know Metal is more stronger than Mecha, but just the design of Mecha looks so bad-ass.

@SuperAwesomeTiago Well there is going to be a battle between Dr. Wily and some of his robots vs. Dr Eggman and some his robots. Mecha and Silver sonic is going to be in on Eggman's side. The show is called DEATH BATTLE created by Screw attack.
