If You're Readin' This By Sundown (sad country songs about suicide that make you cry)

First off, I just want to say that life is beautiful. It is truly the greatest gift God has bestowed upon us and suicide is never the answer. If you are suicidal, please seek out help. Talk to someone and have faith in tomorrow. I believe that regardless of how you feel, how dark, how sad, how lonely that all human beings have the potential for happiness and love again. This song is about suicide, but it's about the pain and suffering that it will cause to those around us, even if it seems they don't care. Have faith and live life.

This song really makes me think again about suicide. I was going to overdose. I decided to listen to this one last time. By the end of the song i couldn't even bring myself to pick up the bottle of pills. The power of music always amazes me. Hopefully this'll remind me if I ever think about trying again.

@TheRedneckmarine24 If you're thinking about the Tim McGraw songs, this is not that song. This is a song that I wrote that happens to have a similar title. The Tim McGraw song is a great song. I don't mean any disrespect by that. I have a great deal of respect for the men and women in our armed forces. I cry every time I hear this now. It's been many months & nothing's getting better. Suicide is even more tempting now. But im not quite sure if I should. Then again idk if continuing to live is the right choice. I'm not sure about anything anymore.

@perikatl Suicide is never the answer. Life is too short to begin with, why cut it shorter? Tomorrow is always limitless, no matter what pain you feel today, you have no way of knowing what a new day will bring. If you really feel hopeless, try to find meaning in helping others, look for a cause, for something you can do for others: volunteer work, arts (music, drawing, writing), or anything else. Just hang in there, please.

@BlaineLarsenFan Ha ha ha. I've got a funny story for ya. When I was in high school I wrote a song about someone getting drunk off whiskey and killing his cheating spouse. When my mom first heard it she seemed a tad off put that I wrote a song about whiskey. She had NO problem that I wrote a song about killing someone...but she didn't like that I wrote a song about whiskey. I don't understand it... Oh well, glad ya liked it. - CGC
