Where does the Correctional System Correct?

@MsNellyChan I'm not arguing with you but normal, adjusted kids don't take a gun and rob stores. Doesn't matter how old you are at the time. Even very small children know right from wrong. Ppl who don't know right from wrong have to be "disposed of". In other countries the punishment would have been far worse.

The victims rights group, weve all be victims of something. I myself have so many ideas of what we can change (that may or may not work) but a victim would have to learn something- theyd have to learn to forgive. We cant just throw people away. Theyre going to be released eventually right, and when we let them out again after leaving them in the dumpster for five years- what did the correctional system accomplish. Why are we sending young kids to prison?
Maybe they are not being "corrected" but at least they got a trial, weren't beheaded, or had their organs removed for sale around the world. the US is pretty fair to criminals when you look at it like that.

I wish I could agree with you but that's only 50% true. 50% of the time the law is fair, and 50% of the time they are not. There are lots of people who are being done wrong by the law, find them and actually have a conversation wtih them.

What r ur ideas about correcting criminals? Have you actually successfully corrected anyone? If someone could come up with something that works, then ppl would be all for it except maybe the victim's rights groups.

In some cases, what we consider victims are cold hearted. There was a young kid who committed armed robbery. He didnt kill nobody, he just walked into a store and held a gun and robbed. He served a year in jail and came his trial. The victims who were reimbursed financially and had a year to recover from the trama. The young boy apologized to each and everyone of them, but instead they all cried

about how their life was ruined because this young boy robbed a store while they were shopping. All of them were in a sound mind enough to dress up for court, to over egg aerate the story, and funny enough, they could take the time to take a day off work to be in court. How are they hurt by the trauma if they can still live an everyday life? Poor kid, got 13 years in prison for no reason.

We all make mistakes. I told somebody else what happened to this young child and that person told me, they would have exaggerated their pain too! why? The child served a year already, and he was thought about the mistake he had made, why after a year couldnt the victims forgive him? If their child had made that mistake, they might have been praying for his forgiveness.
