Being a bunch of bike geeks, Ryan and I got very excited when we saw the bicycle shop in Holland. We spent a good amount of time ooh-ing and ah-ing at their offerings, especially in the commuting accessories.

  • OMG, I love everything about this video!

  • @ronin35 I have a Batavus which I imported into Dublin and I love it and I agree 100% super quality

  • Gazelle Cabby, the SUV bike! Awesome!

  • @flubbeltjes12 It's interesting looking at this modern day bike shop vs. one from the '60's. Much more variety now. Back then only one style, really. What I liked about van Kooi was that he sold brommers as well. I can still remember the two Puchs in the window. The white one for 999 guilders, & the black one for 1299.

  • Check google street view :)

  • Haha, so bakfiets is derived from the Dutch word for baker :D.

That's funny but total nonsense. Bak is the Dutch word for box or container.

  • kolbpilot: yes, it's still there!

  • My only Dutch bicycle shop experience was in the '60's & '70's living with Oma in Baarn. J .van Kooij? in the Laanstraat. Wonder if its still there?

  • I have a Batavus Dutch bike in Singapore. It has a 3 speed internal gear hub with drum brakes. A very high quality bike indeed.

  • Cool bikes!
