@SamPD2 I think you're talking about dural. Well, I still play virtua fighter for eyetoy until today and now it got easier to defend at least 80 to 90 percent of dural's attacks. The problem is that the attack marks over dural rarely appear and you can't miss them (because they also quickly dissapear). But answering tou your question: sensless slapping hits the counter marks and gets you beaten in no time.

The best way to guard from Dural is to simply fidget around alot in one place.

I've already tried this, but it does not seem very effective.
I have beaten dural one more time (the third time now).
It was on christmas morning. I played many times and memorized most of dural's attack spots, then it became easier. But not much.
