Dominique Dunne (November 23, 1959 -- November 4, 1982) was an American actress. Dunne made appearances in several made for television movies, television series, and films, but is probably best known for her role as the oldest daughter, Dana, in the 1982 film Poltergeist.
Dunne ended her relationship with Sweeney. A few weeks later, Sweeney strangled Dunne in the driveway of her home after she refused to reconcile with him. She died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California a few days later, at the age of 22...

  • The piece of shit that murdered her should still be rotting away in a jail cell. Dominique didn't get to walk out of her grave when he walked out of prison.

  • John Sweeny changed his name to John Maura. He lives and works in Seattle, WA. Anyone know what restraunt? I'd like to get a pic of Dominique from the movie 'polterguist' when she's giving the construction workers the bird. In big, bold, black letters on the back of the pic, I'd write ANGEL KILLER!!! Anyone know where this bastard is?

  • I was nine when Poltergeist was released and watched it nearly every day when it came out on HBO. The second one was a stretch but still entertaining but the third one was an embarrassment. It was worse than a bad TV movie and never should have been made. It makes a mockery of the brilliant work that Speilberg and the original actors put in and blasphemes Heather and Dominique's death. It spit on their grave.

  • That evil psycho better hope and pray that i don't run into his sorry ass on the street somewhere.Cause if i see him it is not gonna be pretty. He deserves to have his ass beaten severly and murdered like he did to that innocent woman.I don't want that crazy man anywhere near me,my family,or my kids. Why murdereres are even allowed back in society is completely beyond me.

  • Why did the jury cut the killer some slack? Were they just stupid?

  • @punchsnakeman Irish-American

  • They should have given Sweeny two Choices. Choice A: We lock you up and throw away the KEY. Choice B: We let you go, BUT chop your cock off and make you piss through a straw for the rest of your life.

  • @ifuseekamy they let the bastard go? Thats bullshit. It is sad that the ones that get screwed the most are the victims and their family. The law seems to help the criminals more than those that it should be protecting. Two more examples; the O J Simpson trial and the trial of Casey Anthony. Both criminals, who got away with murder.

  • @punchsnakeman What difference does it make!!!

  • Three and half years. That's all the jail time you do in the US if you murder an innocent young girl with your bare hands. Great country! A beacon for justice MY ASS!

  • Fuck manslaughter, he intentionally strangled her and was the direct cause of her death. He's a class A scumbag murderer who took physical advantage of someone weaker than himself before killing her. It's people who only know how to solve problems with their fists and only with those who won't fight back that sicken me the most!
