  • I LOVE Mr. Bell. Okay, he is not Thornton but he is charming, witty and handsome in that "silver fox" kind of way...... and he is so kind-hearted to Margaret, especially toward the end.

  • He's truly nice and funny. He's different from the dark Thornton and the fragile Hales. I thought he would have a more important role in the film, like telling the truth to Thornton about Fred.

  • I LOVE the soundtrack to this its awesome!!

  • I love it, it's a little depressing, but very lovely

  • I just can't stand Mrs Thorton's voice! She talks as if she has swallowed something and she is chocking!

  • She is... different (...). She doesn't really fit this century, she's way too "reckless"

  • That women John mother reminds me so much of Tacher - In the way that she is calculated and cold blooded. And I liked premier Tacher :)

  • Sinead Cusack IS truly an excellent actress, and with a very noble face. My remark was regarding Ms Thornton's personnality, and certainly not S. Cusack's. I didn't mean to chock you, sorry. But I don't really see in what way Margaret purposedly offended her in the book, I would rather say Ms Thornton is purposedly disagreable and arrogant towards this new-comer. But she does it to "protect" her son, truly. And yet, if Margaret does respect her in the end, Ms Thornton doesn't. Let's debate !!

  • scubzy1,Sinead Cusack is a mighty handsome woman, and a great actress,as for your horrid ageist remark, you should be lucky to look like her or match her achievements in your mature years! The sister is tactless, immature and frightened, but the mother is not evil nor is her concern for her son's attachment unfounded. In the book it is quite clear that Margaret is a bit of a snob and that offends Mrs Thornton's pride in her son. Margaret comes to appreciate certain things about her in the end.
