You obviously haven't been playing games long. The Japanese companies (almost all of them, NOT just Nintendo...) have a tendency to put out anime style games like this one, we just don't get to see most of them.
First, when I said "this looks like something Nintendo would make" I was thinking of that touch screen there(the one that guy is moving cards over). Nintendo is the only "widely/publicly known" game company who would try to use such a touch screen idea in the USA.(Note, when I say touch screen idea, I mean in the same way shown in this video)

Felt that insult.
