@SesamaLho Minimums is the callout for the point at which if they were in IMC (cloud/fog/mist) they would have to make the decision if to abort the approach or continue to land. It varies between airport and approach types, ILS will generally get you down to 200/300 feet for your basic Cat1, anywhere down to no minimums which is Cat3B where it is completely flown by the autopilot. Your NDB/VOR approaches which are different have minimums that are usually more in the 500/800+ feet range.

no, it's the nose wheels spinning as the enter the wheel well after gear up. They don't have breaks like the main gear.
