I am using the UFO202 and GarageBand just as shown in the video but I'm only getting a very low signal, barely audible on playback. The iPad's mic records at a normal level so it's something on the input side - any idea? Also, how do you set up GarageBand for continuous recording? It just stops itself, apparently at random.

Could use some help here. I bought the UFO202 and Garageband based solely on this video and hooked it up as described. Two problems (a) I am only getting a very weak signal that barely twitches the VU meter and therefore I get a very quiet recording and (b) Garageband just stops recording after 20-30 seconds based on the "song" it thinks I'm creating. I have a Pro-Ject turntable and I'm going straight from the turntable outputs to the 202 inputs, no pre-amp. Is that correct?

Hello, they are both are the same with exception that the UCA222 is available in Red.

Found the problem! The UFO202 and the UCA202 appear to be very similar but only the UFO has a preamp. I bought the wrong one. This might be obvious to some but I fought with it for over a month so it's now too late to return it. I've now ordered the UFO202 and I hope it will do what's required.
