Human, All Too Human is a three-part 1999 documentary television series produced by the BBC. It follows the lives of three prominent European philosophers: Friedrich Nietzsche, Martin Heidegger, and Jean-Paul Sartre. The theme of this documentary revolves heavily around the school of philosophical thought known as existentialism, although the term had not been coined at the time of Nietzsche's writing, and Heidegger declaimed the label. The documentary is named after the 1878 book written by Nietzsche, titled Human, All Too Human: A Book for Free Spirits.
The final episode in this series, The Road to Freedom, describes the life of the French philosopher, Jean-Paul Sartre. This is when the term existentialism begins to enter the realm of philosophy. The documentary shows that Sartre believes it is up to each individual human being to give his or her own life a meaning and a purpose.

To define Transcendence, when objects appear in our conciousness our knowledge of the object cant be identical to the object. The validity of the knowledge we have comes into question, it is up to us alone to decide the validity of the knowledge we have. If the view of the world i have becomes invalid then all i can rely on is my personal experience!

I do not wish to present judgement upon his work, but it seems overly simplistic and is a boring documentary in my opinion.

The freedom yo do whatever you want. I have that freedom yet express it during sleep. I kill, hurt, wound people in my sleep. Yet in a ancient frame of mind life is just a dream. I really harm none seriously, yet am I. I realize that seriously bright people will read that. I'm just you average poet type. Criticism is alright by me. I wish to learn.

I found freedom to be a frame of mind regardless of surroundings. I was told this man originated that idea. I shall see.
