In 1982 Britain went to war to regain the Falkland Islands. The Falklands Play is a gripping account of how Margaret Thatcher's government handled the biggest crisis in British foreign affairs since Suez.

  • Thatcher thought that the islands were in some part of Scotland.

  • @Marielalaura Nah...If she'd thought that, she'd have left well alone ;)

  • And Argentina can't afford to invade them.

  • @sunnyfunnymunny even with the cuts, we still have the fourth largest armed forces in the world, and with two new carriers on the way and new ships, Argentina wouldn't stand a chance,,, AGAIN.

  • @stewsterni When aare you people going to learn? do you think it's WISE to issue threats like that without thinking about the dreadful aftermath ? ... Not everything is solved through nuclear weapons as you say. ( which couuld carry very harmful consequences to peoples health forever!) shame on you !!!!!

  • @stewsterni first of all, we dont need to be part of your stupid G8 to know that we are decent , peaceful , hard-working people, who only intend to claim back what is originally ours. Secondly, if there's anything to LEARN from all the wars, massacres, etc. that have ruined humanity so many times in world history is that VIOLENCE LEADS TO MORE VIOLENCE AND DEATH!

  • @dkfan81 when you become part of the g8 get back to us, also euro union has a larger economy than, china usa and russia, uk is still a larger economy than Argentina, also we have nuclear weapons, a better army, airforce, navy, special forces, in other words we would destroy you! and this time we wouldn't stop at Falklands, if you think yanks would choose you over us keep dreaming, you mad bro? and cry more at UN over somthing you have never owned, you know where we are when you have the balls?

  • easy1355 said: things hhave changed ! . USA , Chile and other countries have allied against you. We are a much bigger , stronger, much more pupulated and economically booming country. What's more , there is no financial crisis here. In EUrope , the stock market plummetted. There are over 40 million Argentinians hungry for revenge.

  • @qachito Sorry, I only read, and converse in the international Language, English.... I will not even bother putting this useless language through a translator.

  • fuckers! that you are! that War was stupid! Í lost many brothers in that fucking War and I can´t stand watch all this hollywood shit and mock us. Is outrageous and can not even go to the Islands to mourn our loved ones. The claim is historically and geographically legal. No discussion about it. From Argentina

Muchos hermanos hemos perdido en esa puta guerra. Ni siquiera podemos ir a llorar a nuestros seres queridos a la Isla. El reclamo es historico y geograficamente legal.
