The RCP is hosting a free exhibition exploring historical portraits of disabled people held within our collections, taking place from 14 February to 8 July 2011. This film features27 disabled participants from across the UK who came together to discuss the historical portraits and their own identities and lives.

  • I saw this exhibition twice and was inspired to hear the stories and look at the pictures! Thanks Bridget formaking the second time so memorable and the great discussion we both had! I know some who took part and they are al fantastic!!

  • Thanks for sharing the video with those of us who won't be able to make it to the exhibit. I look forward to showing it to my class on social movements as the participants make some incredibly provocative points about representation and the relationship of the individual to the collective. Bravo.
