Derby 2009 Ferris Wheel

60m high ferris wheel in Derby. Open from September to October 2009. This was sited outside the Assembly Rooms in Cathedral Quarter and offered 15 minute rides with pretty good views. The wheel which is owned by James Mellors, is taken around the country stopping in various cities.

On 2 November I saw one of the final segments being dismantled, but I wish I had my camera on me at the time to grab a few shots and some more video.

This film shows various views riders would have got from the wheel, including the top of the Guildhall Market, Moorledge, the newly opened 'Jurys Inn', and the Cathedral in Irongate. Being at night, the lights are quite effective.

Music: 'The Wheel' (Couldn't think of anything else to call it). This is now also available on my new channel djchronica185 which is dedicated to music.

Nice vid with some nice professional dissolves and just right shot length. Good choice of soundtrack, The only negative comment is the choice of font for the titles and colour! Keep titles simple and no more than 2 lines. This would have been very professional had you kept to a simple subtitle on bottom with a slow fade or scroll!
