@MrSubwayTrainMan it would be nice to extend the A train from Lefferts Blvd to Jamaica (where the E, J, and Z terminate). If not extend the A line, maybe a new bus route should be developed.

@mtanyc Righto then, thanks for that... our cities here have no subways or any "metro" lines as such, just mainline commuter trains throughout the suburbs (overhead wiring, mainline signalling, etc)... our commuter lines run metro-like underground services in the downtown areas, but then surface in the inner suburbs then continue on to nearby towns as part of the state-wide rail system..

Hey gday mate... I'm a railfan from Australia... please correct me if I'm wrong, but outside the Manhattan area, are the subway lines totally elevated on viaducts throughout the suburbs...?

in the bronx, queens and brooklyn.
