I also find the 'being gay is a choice thing' really stupid. If you are heterosexual, please try and picture yourself having a relationship with someone of the same sex (so holding hands, first kiss, romantic meals, hands around waist as you're making breakfast, having sex, kissing etc.) If you're straight, that doesn't make you tingle, it might even make you feel kinda gross....so obviously if you're straight, you can't CHOOSE to be with someone of the same sex....right?

@danceisfun43 biblestudytools dot to the com /topical-verses/marriage-bible
-verses/ here is a great resource to do some research. -
@danceisfun43 Nope not in the traditional sense, there are a few translations of bibles that you can find that use the word marriage. But the way we marry today is a new trend, established by the church albiet, but there is no hard biblical foundation for the institution we have today.

Not really , we always have a choice , we have a choice not to have sex at all or to have sex with corpses.I have nothing against gay people but it is a choice , homosexuals having no choice about who they have sex with is like saying a pedophile has no choice but to have sex with children or a psychopath having to choice but to kill because he had a bad childhood.Again I'm not trying to bash on gay people , this is just my opinion , I could be wrong.

@zpgJiggleBilly There isn't?

who married them? and you could observe and testify it? and did their children have sex with each other so that humans could multiply?

The origins of marriage is NOT religious, nor does it have anything to do with the God of the Abrahamic religions. It was around way before organized religion which by Christian standards means it is PAGAN. Christians "borrowed" many pagan rites and rituals so Pagans would convert more readily and easily to Christianity.

There is not one thing in the bible about marriage, Christians just hijacked it for some reason. Marriage is a purely legal thing.
